Chili’s Grill & Bar
Chili’s is a well-known food chain restaurant with a very relaxed environment. It is a good option if you feel like staying closer to Solterra, as Chili’s is on 8180 Laura Lane on Champions Gate, around 5-minutes away from the house. They offer nice burgers and make their jalapeño mash potatoes has a very good reputation. We consider this a very casual and affordable place.
Manny’s Chop House
Manny’s is a fantastic steak house in Haines City, just a 20-minute drive from Solterra. It is a fun lively place with a very casual sitting and deals for every day of the week, including their 4 to 7 happy hour. Manny’s doesn’t take reservations but they recommend you give them a call on your way there and they will work out a table for you. They are famous for their steaks and we still haven’t tried the bacon wrapped filet with crab stuffed shrimp, but we’ll be ticking that box pretty soon.

Le Rouge Wine and Tapas Bar
This bar is a good option if you just want to share some tapas and have an evening out. Le Rouge stands between high-end and casual dining they often have live music and a very easy online reservation system. The bar is located on Orlando’s restaurants road very close to Universal Studios. Their salads and selection of wine is highly recommended.

A friend of ours says Fama’s has the best pizza in Orlando, a very casual Italian restaurant that offers really good service and wonderful food, perfect for the entire family. Their cheesy garlic bread is delicious and vegetarians have various options here as well. Fama’s is on 5474 Central Florida Pkwy very close to SeaWorld.

Junior Colombian Burger
For those burger lovers this restaurant is most likely what you are looking for. Burgers fillings range from funky sweet sauce to crushed up crisps, you won’t resist trying them, but you should also check out their hot dogs and empanadas. This place is very casual and you won’t need to make a reservation in advance. Only a xx-minute away from Solterra on (address).

Hawkers Asian Street Fare
This fare is downtown Orlando on Mills Avenue but definitely worth the drive. From Solterra it will take you around 40 minutes to get there, but much less if you are heading from Universal Studios or SeaWorld. Their food offer includes loads of great Asian tapas-size food, great for sharing in a very casual enjoyable environment.

Apart from selling amazing fruits and veggies, you should try the freshly prepared food, from gourmet breakfast and lunches, to homemade soups. The market is a very flexible non-formal dining option that also offers a beer and wine garden, and a variety of local crafts are sold there as well. The Market is very close to Lake Eola around 40 minutes away from Solterra, but definitely worth the drive.

This a great option for a quick lunch or light dinner, very casual and great for vegetarians. Their salad buffet is unbeatable and the Strawberry lemonade is a must! It is 15 minutes away from Solterra on Rolling Oaks Blvd in the Disney World area.

Very close to Solterra, this restaurant is on Osceola Pkwy Lake Buena Vista, right outside Disney World’s Animal Kingdom with a panoramic view of the park’s Savannah. It is famous for its bread and dips service. They specialized in fine Indian and African food so it requires a reservation.

This a small Italian place, only five minutes away from Solterra, on Posner Blvd in Davenport. Although this is not a very fancy place, the food is just like dining at home. Make sure you don’t miss the cannolis!

Around Winter Park
Christiner’s Del Frisco’s
This restaurant is in the Winter Park area on Lee Road, so around 40 minutes away from Solterra. It has a very Frank Sinatra feel to it, and serves wonderful beef. This is a high-end restaurant and we recommend you to make a reservation to secure a table and avoid waiting.

Roy’s is an Asian restaurant on Sandlake Rd around Winter Park. They have excellent Mahi and the chocolate soufflé is great. Try not to miss the Hawaiian martini. Roy’s stands between high-end and causal dinning, and is also very popular so make sure you make a reservation.

This restaurant is on Colonial Dr. Orlando, offers amazing Thai food and great service. They serve soft crab shells that are just delicious! The Thai house is a high-end restaurant on a week night you probably won’t need a reservation.

There’s an entire Vietnamese area on Colonial Dr. Try Little Saigon, their summer rolls and peanut sauce have a real solid reputation in the area. Little Saigon is a high-end restaurant and you are advice to make a reservation. If you feel like having Vietnamese food but more within budget, this area is a great choice.

This Turkish restaurant is on Park Avenue in Winter Park. Their menu is fantastic and offers a beautiful Turkish wine you won’t resist to try. Bospohorous is a high-end affordable restaurant great for couples.

Looking for a restaurant with a bit of everything?
Perhaps you would like to try Season 52 on Sand Lake Road. It’s a limited chain restaurant, with great menu changes with the seasons and amazing vegetarian options. This restaurant is not one of the cheapest but certainly worth it. Good to dine with the whole family and fulfill everyone’s cravings.
